Here’s what matters: scalp psoriasis isn’t dandruff. It’s not seborrheic dermatitis either, though they look similar enough to confuse even experienced clinicians at first glance. It’s an autoimmune condition where your skin cells multiply too quickly, creating those characteristic thick, silvery plaques that can extend beyond your hairline onto your forehead, neck, and ears.
